The fourth annual Cruise-In For Scouting was held on Saturday, May 10th at D&D Classic in Covington, Ohio. Hours of the show were from 10 AM to 2 PM, and held at D&D’s facility at 2300 Mote Drive, just off State Route 41 in Covington. This event was open to the general public, car enthusiasts, Scouts, and their families.

The Cruise-In has developed from two desires: to showcase the outstanding craftsmanship that takes place at D&D Classic; and to raise funds to support the camping programs of the Miami Valley Council Boy Scouts of America, which includes making continual improvements to its camp facilities, as well as to help send disadvantaged Scouts to camp. Scouts benefiting from this event are from Darke, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, and Shelby counties.

Falcon Packaging at 2000 Mote Drive has once again graciously provided plenty of parking for this event. Other sponsors who have contributed to the success of the Cruise-In this year include the Covington Savings & Loan Association, D&D Classic of Covington, Meijer Inc. of Troy, and Unity National Bank of Piqua.

A significant number of car owners attended to show off their pride and joy, including a classic cars, vintage motorcycles, antique fire truck, WW II vehicle, etc. Registration was $10 per vehicle, and 100% of the proceeds benefit Scouting. Businesses were also encouraged to participate in the Corporate Pinewood Derby at a $100 entry fee.

D&D Classic and the Miami Valley Council Boys Scouts of America would like to thank those who tokk part in this annual event and made the Annual Classic Cruise-In a success.
